Bio

Hello. I'm Samb. No, the b is not a typo. Think lamb. As you might be able to tell, I'm a bit of a Dr Seuss fan. Oh god that all rhymes...

I'm 21, for now at least, British and currently studying Philosophy at the University of Sussex. For the Brits here, I imagine this will tell you all you need to know...

Politics & Beliefs

I'm a pot-smoking, left-leaning, libertarian. I don't care what you do as long as you dont hurt anyone.

I suppose you could call me a moral relativist. I don't believe in right and wrong, good or bad, and occasionally, not even up and down. Only every conceivable shade of grey.

I don't believe in God. But unlike most atheists I'm not proud of this fact. It simply is. Sometimes I even believe I'd be much happier if I did, but I don't, so i'm not.

I believe in evolution. Why? Because it doesn't need me to believe in it to be true.

Healthcare should be free, at least at point of use. I still find it staggering that the 'richest and most powerful' country in the world still cannot care for its own citizens without bleeding them dry.

I don't agree with 'Obamacare'. No point in half measures.

I dont buy into capitalism. No one needs billions of dollars. No one needs millions, either. No one persons time is worth that much, no matter what they do.

More than anything I believe in small government. A government should do three things: Collect taxes, protect and care for its citizens and deliver mail.

Absolutism is the enemy of progress and rationality. If you can come down consistently on the same side of the fence then you're just ignoring what's on the other side.

That's me in a nutshell. At least, the parts of the shell I reckon you guys will be interested in. There's lots more to me, I imagine, but you'll have to work the rest out for yourself.

To User:Conservative - Awesome work dude, truly. You make the hours I spend on the internet so much more enjoyable. Thanks, bro.

If anyone wants to talk do not hesitate to talkpage me! I enjoy a good debate. Though I can't promise I'll take it seriously.
