"The ideally non-violent state will be an ordered anarchy"

Mahatma Gandhi

"Those afraid of the universe as it really is, those who pretend to nonexistent knowledge and envision a Cosmos centered on human beings will prefer the fleeting comforts of superstition. They avoid rather than confront the world. But those with the courage to explore the weave and structure of the Cosmos, even where it differs profoundly from their wishes and prejudices, will penetrate its deepest mysteries."

Carl Sagan

"The truth may be puzzling. It may take some work to grapple with. It may be counterintuitive. It may contradict deeply held prejudices. It may not be consonant with what we desperately want to be true. But our preferences do not determine what's true. We have a method, and that method helps us to reach not absolute truth, only asymptotic approaches to the truth — never there, just closer and closer, always finding vast new oceans of undiscovered possibilities. Cleverly designed experiments are the key."

Carl Sagan

"I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides."

Carl Sagan

"It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."

Carl Sagan

"Linux is far too complex to have evolved on its own. It must have been intelligently designed to be that way!"

Slashdot poster

Hello, I am TheDeist. Judging by that userbox on the right and the quotes above, you may think that I don't belong here. Well, I don't really. However, I am here to serve as both a diplomat to Conservatives, to create articles about people, and to clear up any misunderstandings that might have arisin between the two. I am also here to clear some odd misunderstandings that I don't quite understand between Uncyclopedia and Conservapedia.

I have an account here, at Encyclopaedia Dramatica(I don't use it often), at three different Wikipedias, and at four different Uncyclopedias. I prefer to go to Wikipedia than Conservapedia, because they favor "hard fact" than "faith". Wikipedia is just about as reliable as any other Encyclopedia in my eyes. Just as I can make a page that has no reliable sources on Wikipedia, I could publish a book that has no reliable sources and some people would buy it and buy into it. For example The Da Vinci Code has no solid base in facts known, it is only a work of fiction - an explanation of a remote possibility that I have seen first hand some people believe.

Time is fluid - it is mixed, mismatched, thrown away, and can taste both bitter and delicious. Any book you read can be a complete and utter lie, no matter if it's Encyclopaedia Britannica or the Bible. People in century's past were so suggestive at times due to their uneducation we don't know if some things that we knew previously were true. Octavius was only recently discovered to have murdered Cleopatra.

Notes on my belief in Anarcho-Communism

I don't believe Anarcho-Communism will ever work in any society because humans are not ready for it. The reason why Capitalism has done so well is because it doesn't go against human nature, just logic. If we help only ourselves to be successful with the reward of currency, people will not advance as well together as a society, and we will always have the poor and the rich. If we help everyone to be successful without the reward of currency(we abolish the need for such things as currency and bartering), then we can advance together, and advance humanity to a point that we could never reach with the problems associated with a system based on the use of trading currency or otherwise. However, because we are only humans, we would collapse society should a country ever convert to it because people would take advantage of it.

The communism you are familiar with is the idea of Stalinist "communism", or Stalinism, which I am disgusted of and consider a poor excuse for a type of communism. I barely consider it a type of communism at all.
