Compliments

Hi. I saw your edit and had to compliment you. [1]

Nice edit! :-)

And a belated welcome to Conservapedia. --Ed Poor 13:04, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Good work on the pudding links! MontyZuma 16:18, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

Thanks. There were already a number of them there, of course. DrSandstone 16:20, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

On behalf of myself, thank you for making all those articles look better.Bohdan

Hi, It seems we are going in the same way... --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 17:29, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

Hi, I don't understand your comment on my talk page. Would you clarify? DrSandstone 17:35, 8 May 2007 (EDT)
I think you are doing a nice job here with more or less the same intention that I have. --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 21:42, 8 May 2007 (EDT)
Ah, okay. Thank you. DrSandstone 11:08, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Awesome referencing work, fella. ;) --Robledo 17:14, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Thank you. I can't contribute a lot, but I can add a few things here and there. Thanks for the hello. DrSandstone 13:06, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Stub Template

Please don't put stub templates in articles. The site creator has asked for it to be used sparingly, if at all. DanH 13:30, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

Sorry, didn't realize that. I thought it would be a good way to draw attention to articles that need some serious work, but I'll refrain from now on. DrSandstone 13:31, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

It's alright. It worked better when there were fewer articles on the site, but there's so many that it gets cumbersome. DanH 13:31, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

I notice that you reverted a number of my edits. Some of my edits included changes besides the stub template, which I would have been happy to remove myself.DrSandstone 13:37, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
I know all the TN county articles are stubs. It's a project I'm working on right now, so they'll be like that for a while. ColinRtalk 13:35, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
I'm not going to be using the stub template any more.DrSandstone 13:37, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

I'm sorry, I didn't check it. I just did what Aschlafly has done in the past with mass stub additions. DanH 13:40, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

Okay, it's not like they were really important edits. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't doing something else that I shouldn't have been. DrSandstone 13:41, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

AFD Organization

If you're bored, how about helping me organize Conservapedia:Articles for deletion? I'm using templates to "transclude" the discussions.

Then, as each article is deleted, I drag the template tag down to the "deleted" section. --Ed Poor 12:53, 10 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Wow, already up to L ... --Ed Poor 13:28, 10 May 2007 (EDT)

thanks for the typo fix

thanks. HeartOfGold 13:25, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

No problem. I couldn't figure out what you were talking about at first, then I saw the lack of space and figured I'd just fix it. DrSandstone 13:28, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

Transitionals

It has been suggested that some or all of Transitional fossil be merged with Transitional Forms. As you were involved with editing one or both of these articles, you might like to discuss this proposal on the talk page for Transitional fossil.
Philip J. Rayment 08:52, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

Warning

I looked at two of your recent edits, both unhelpful. Please contribute in a meaningful way or go elsewhere. Thanks. In Christ, --Aschlafly 13:43, 14 September 2007 (EDT)

Hello DrSandStone,

As a courtesy, I may be able to help with some areas that could be rubbing the wrong way. As much as possible, Andy prefers people to help with adding useful information to fill out short articles instead of adding stub templates. An occasional stub may be acceptable, but any editing that seems to imply a systematic addition of stubs is frowned upon. One of the things that I noticed, that could also be counterproductive, is the adding of a Reference section when there are no references, especially if there is already a sources section. When individual references are put into the article, a reference section will be added.

One final thought is that usually conversations are continued in one area so it can be seen in its entirety. So if you wanted to make a comment to what I have written you, it would be appropriate to reply here.

I hope this helps,

Learn together 14:06, 14 September 2007 (EDT)

It seems apparent from looking at my talk page that I have not only experience, but made contributions that have been greatly appreciated by other editors here. When someone tells me to "contribute in a meaningful way or go elsewhere" I take offence. That seems to be a poor way to treat a contributing editor, no? I realize that was not a comment from you, but your following comments seem to support it, am I incorrect?
My adding a References section is a subtle way of showing that there is no cited material on the page, or that the Manual of Style is not being followed. I don't see anything counter-productive about this in the least.
I am also aware of the convention of continuing conversations on the same page. That should have been obvious with only a cursory scan of my talk page. -DrSandstone 14:33, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
  • Well you couldn't have attracted my attention more, even if you hung a giant blinking sign over your page, Doc. Godspeed to you in all your future endeavors! --şŷŝôρ-₮KṢρёаќǃ 15:00, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
I don't understand, I wasn't trying to attract your attention, I wanted to find out from Aschlafly what in particular I was doing wrong. How did you get involved? -DrSandstone 15:11, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
  • Duh! It is a wiki, no? I am involved because of your condescending, pompous attitude and less than credible air of innocence. Clear enough for you? We do have templates for pages lacking citations {{uncited}}. I suggest looking at the links here:

MY pompous condescending attitude? And I claim no innocence, not even sure where that is coming from. -DrSandstone 15:50, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
A mental health professional might be worth seeing. This is not the behaviour of a healthy mind. I am serious, and I am not playing games. -DrSandstone 15:56, 18 September 2007 (EDT)
TK was de-sysoped and then blocked for a year. Just thought you might like hearing that. :P ~BCSTalk2ME 14:52, 11 February 2008 (EST)
Hmm, it appears I missed some high drama while I was away. I realize I wasn't at my calmest when I wrote the above, but there really must have been something unstable about that fellow. Interesting to know, thanks. -DrSandstone 14:54, 11 February 2008 (EST)

Delete pages

Hey, I'm just curious... why are you recreating these pages with delete notices? DanH 13:22, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

The ones you're talking about, I think, are listed in the Dead-End Pages with the ampersand sign, which I think is screwing with the Wiki software. There are sister pages for all of them with "and" spelled out, and all the information there, but the one's I'm putting the {{delete}} template on, the page title ends where the ampersand sign is.
There are some others, like Sidewinder that I'm putting the template on because they've simply been created with no content, and have been around for quite a while.
If I'm doing something I shouldn't, let me know. But for an example, look at the Dead-end Pages list, and look at Gladys Knight & The Pips. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on. -DrSandstone 13:32, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Okay, thanks! DanH 13:48, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Thank you for deleting the pages. There are a number, by the way, in the [[Category:Deletion candidates]] that have probably been there for some time. If you were interested in deleting more pages. I'm pretty sure I don't have the ability to delete pages or I'd do it myself. Thanks again. -DrSandstone 13:52, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

Personal remarks

This is a publicly visible project. Anyone in the world can read what you "say" here to other contributors. If you want to chide someone, try private email or instant messaging. Remarks like, "Learn to read" are insulting at best.

See you tomorrow. --Ed Poor Talk 12:02, 9 April 2008 (EDT)

thanks

Thanks Docsandstone, for fixing up the Blackbird mess!

DuncanB

Glad to help. -DrSandstone 15:52, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for the welcome

Nice to feel like I'm welcome here. BradJohnson 14:34, 25 November 2008 (EST)

No problem. And the {{welcome}} template gives you some shortcuts to help you get oriented here. -DrSandstone 14:45, 25 November 2008 (EST)

Changing the title of an article

Please use the {{move}} template to suggest new titles. Do not copy and paste, because that breaks the "history chain" of revisions. --Ed Poor Talk 12:43, 2 December 2008 (EST)

Whoops, my apologies. I'll do that in the future. Thanks for the education. -DrSandstone 12:55, 2 December 2008 (EST)
