I reverted your edit, not because it was wrong (I don't think it was), but it was placed wrong. If possible, do a rewrite using a sandbox describe the wall, it dimensions, its function, and its weaknesses...which is where your edit should be placed. Any ancient accounts as citations would help. Actually, my edit fits perfectly there, as: 1) the original point (which I corrected) was there and 2) that section is a discussion of the purpose of the wall, which is exactly what my edit covered. --JohnS001 11:13, 22 May 2010 (EDT)

Perhaps, but we have (I believe) a policy against edit wars. Also please cite your sources. Thanks. --Ben Talk 11:25, 22 May 2010 (EDT)

Sorry, Ben, but I really couldn't care less about your beliefs (or anyone else's, so long as they don't try to force their views on me). Now, if you'd rather state that "there is a policy", that's better and more authoritative (for note, use of the term "belief" implies uncertainty on your part, and I would hope that an admin is certain of the site rules). And I would hardly count correcting an incorrect edit as an "edit war," especially seeing as that's exactly what the purpose of this site is, if I recall the purpose statement and Andy's interviews correctly. --JohnS001 13:26, 22 May 2010 (EDT)

The "edit war" is what we call it when you repeatedly make a change after you've been reverted by an admin. The particular edit war I was referring to was on the great wall page with Karajou. However, I'll refrain from reverting your edit again because honesty I stepped slightly out of line in dealing with it in the first place, I should have left it to Karajou. However, please refrain from engaging in such edit warring in the future. Thanks.--Ben Talk 19:48, 22 May 2010 (EDT)
