Tildes
Hi there. If you don't have tildes on your keyboard, you can use the signature shortcut.
When you are typing on a talk page, you'll see a bunch of light blue buttons, like B I etc. The 10th button (between the red circle and the horizontal line) inserts your signature with timestamp. It's the same as you typing --~~~~ but it's a little easier. --Ed Poor Talk 10:02, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Why stay away contreversial topics?
Why are you afraid that someone will be angry? Or is it that everything that is contreversial is uninnteresting to you?
- Hi, whoever you are (?). First of all, now I am staying away from... all topics (real life time issues unfortunately). But ideally, if I had time, I'd like to positively contribute to this site, making it better. I enjoy reading some debates here, for example Philip J. Rayment's discussions with some evolutionists. But other than that, what's the point in taking part in those discussions? What's the point in engaging in fruitless edit wars? Why deny the ideas of Conservapedia editors? If you don't agree with them, edit Wikipedia. This is an encyclopedia. It means that it should be formed of quality articles, with talk pages just for discussing factual, minor points, to make the article better.
- If you prefer the endless Liberal vs. Conservatives or Evolution vs. YEC discussions, let me suggest you to visit blogs, discussion forums or the Usenet instead. --Leopeo 07:10, 5 March 2008 (EST)
Hey, no sorry about that. I don't want any of those "wars" going around. The worst thing I think can happend is when a forum or and encyclopedia (like conservapedia) gets polarized. That's when it has evolved into being two sides who really hate each other and can't get any agreement on anything, and mostly becouse both parties is just being totaly off-topic to set of irretation on the other part.
I must admitt that im not quite the conservative, but i have lots of interest's in reading the debates that that goes around here.
What my question really was, was that if you felt that you weren't allowed to talk about controversial thing like evolution, god, homosexuality because you then might get banned? --Nabroon 08:59, 5 March 2008 (EST)
- No. I was banned a long time ago. And I left Conservapedia. I came back when I realized what Conservapedia is about. It's more rewarding for me to positively contribute to "neutral" articles. I have my opinions on those controversial things, some agreeing with the editors here, some disagreeing, but I'm just not interested in discussing them here, or contributing on them. Besides, they are not my "field of expertise". So: it's not because I try to avoid blocks, I don't care about blocks. I know this is a temporary "hobby" for me, and I will probably leave it before or later - it doesn't matter if blocked or not. I'm not looking for power, for Sysopship, for "night editing" - I just wish this place to grow, and this is not obtained by endless discussions. --Leopeo 09:16, 5 March 2008 (EST)
