Greetings! You are one of very few math contributors. A bit of wisdom: formatting math stuff is a real pain, as I just learned (again!). But if you want to get fanatical about it, a useful thing to know is that you can force the nice big symbols by putting a backslash-comma just before the less-than-slash-math-greater-than. In fact, there's a page Tips_for_writing_math_and_science_articles that explains how/why this works, and has other useful info.
