Welcome!
Hello, MargeryCampbell, and welcome to Conservapedia!
We're glad you are here to edit. We ask that you read our Editor's Guide as soon as you can.
At the right are some useful links for you. You can include these links on your user page by putting "{{Useful links}}" on the page.
Thanks for reading, MargeryCampbell!
Hope you enjoy your stay. It is better if you avoid campaigning for liberal political candidates here. Try and stick to your conservative and Christian values and we should all get along swimmingly. BrianCo 19:48, 15 February 2008 (EST)
Thank you (Brian) for the welcome...both times. Yes, well I didn't realize that about THAT HRC, you see, my husband Henry R. Campbell is running for a county commsioner's seat in Texas. That is what MY first name was about. I can understand the confusion and the block for having a "bad" user name!
Jesus loves you and so do I! Marge.
You're a godsend!! Please stay and contribute, and alert me to anything on User talk:Aschlafly that would like to see fixed.--Aschlafly 18:02, 29 February 2008 (EST)
You are too kind!
I'm sorry but I am not able to be on your site very much. I homeschool and have four wonderful children, 11, 9, 5 and 22 months old and finding time to do much online is...well exasperating!
By the time bedtime comes I'm frequently ready to drop over! But, (thank the Lord), I awake with each new day ready to start all over again!
Marge
- Marge, you seem to be doing a grand job. I can well understand that bringing up and educating four children is very tiring. I hope that you are making use of Conservapedia as an educational resource in your homeschooling. I think we would all be interested if you could write something about how you use Conservapedia. BrianCo 18:56, 29 February 2008 (EST)
You are a godsend. Oops, I see that I said that before above! Any way we could double your contributions here? :-) Take care and hope to have your children as my future students!!!--Aschlafly 13:14, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
As you know I am fairly busy with the "brood"; doubly so now that I am a single mother. Mr. Campbell is still around but no longer part of the day-to-day living arrangements, by his own choice. I only mention that since it was Mr. Campbell who had made me quit the project a few months back exercising his Biblical authority over me, as was it was his right to do. Now that he has "abdicated" the household, I find I am in charge of my own life again.
With summer coming I hope to be able to do a bit more on the project as the two oldest children will be going off to Europe to visit our relatives over there, to both give them a break from old Mom and to continue their education.
God love ya! MargeryCampbell 13:31, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- His loss is our gain! Thanks and Godspeed.--Aschlafly 13:42, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

I'm no Sysop... but if you'd like, I could send an email to you via Conservapedia and you can see if it arrives at the right address. Should I try? Feebasfactor 22:53, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
- I'm pretty sure that won't work since you're likely to get an error message telling you that "this user hasn't specified an email address or has chosen not to receive mail." Marge 22:59, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
- Oh. Haha, you're quite right........ My Mistake.
- I hope you manage to sort it out. :-] Feebasfactor 19:10, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
- Yes, I see the "webmaster" has awakened to my posts on his talk page. He's trying the "blame the victim" strategy re:Perhaps a spam filter blocked the email? Try a different email address if possible. If that doesn't work, let me know. Thanks. CPWebmaster 10:26, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
- I'm not sure they have a handle on how, actually, to run their software. Maybe they should farm out the running of the website to someone who knows what they're doing? I wonder what the budget is for this wiki? Marge 20:02, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Thank you
I'd like to thank whomever fixed the email situation above...(I believe it was fixed before the [recent] mediawiki upgrade). I can now send emails using the email feature. I do not think I've recieved anything as yet. Marge 00:04, 29 June 2008 (EDT)
Thanks for fixing "Trade Winds", Marge. AlanE 23:41, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
- You're entirely welcome Alan. Marge 10:25, 3 September 2008 (EDT)
Oops! Sorry...a slip of my increasingly geriatric clicking finger. AlanE 14:54, 3 September 2008 (EDT)
Thanks for redirect
Thanks for doing the Divine Comedy redirect. This is the kind of thing I don't know how to do myself (yet).--CPalmer 08:29, 8 September 2008 (EDT)
My "vulgar" edit
Hello. Strive as I might to be a productive member of this online community, sometimes "things" pop up that reflect badly upon me.
One such thing is this edit for which I was rightly blocked. Imagine my surprise at being blocked when I know full well that I had not made that edit.
At first I thought someone from another site had hacked my account here and had made that edit, but my dear, sweet, 12 year-old son came to me and told me that he'd made the edit and the block was his fault.
I was going to write an email to Aschlafly, who (for some reason) comes up as, "This user has not specified a valid e-mail address, or has chosen not to receive e-mail from other users," which seems exceedingly odd given that he, as owner and senior administrator, should want to have some way for users to get a hold of him off wiki. Luckily for me I found his email address elsewhere. I did write but for whatever reason he choose to delete this email.
I post the email here for the edification of prosperity.
Email from Marge to Aschlafly
Dear Mr Schlafly,
This morning I went to edit Conservapedia only to find that I had been blocked for three days. When I saw the reason why and the post that had prompted the block I initially thought my account had been hacked. Upon further review, however, I had found out that my twelve year-old son, Chris, was, in fact, the author of the screed.
I do not allow Chris to have an account on ANY websites that I do not set-up and maintain myself. The seemingly anonymous nature of internet communications tends to give young minds license to excess.
While I do not disavow the spirit of his comments, the character of the vitriol was very much out of line.
I have had a talk with him with regard to framing his views to be a bit more circumspect and to maintain a respectful tone at all times.
That said, I do not expect (nor wish) to be unblocked. I can use that in my favor to accentuate the guilt Chris is dealing with and can help him mold a stronger, meeker character. (It may seem harsh for him but it's what mothers do and I like to think I do it well.)
For my own part in this, I will be changing my password to CP and not allowing the computer to log me in automatically from here on out.
Next spring Chris will turn 13 years old and he will begin to have more of a web-presence of his own; I am hopeful that this incident will stick with him and he will be able to better gauge the impact of his thoughts and words on others.
Very Truly Yours,
Marge Campbell
