Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost.
-Ronald Reagan (former president of a labour union), 1980.

Collective bargaining in the years since has played a major role in America’s economic miracle. Unions represent some of the freest institutions in this land. There are few finer examples of participatory democracy to be found anywhere.

conflict over Obama article

Hi Marty,

I temporarily blocked you just as a notice to resolve the conflict you seem to be having with another user over the Obama article. How about we settle the issue about the authorization of oil drilling on the talk page instead of constantly reverting each other's edits? Tyler Zoran Talk 17:55, 1 January 2011 (EST)

>I'm not interested in edit-warring either--I'll allow the more senior admins to rule on the issue. Cheers! Martyp 20:08, 1 January 2011 (EST)
That would be appropriate. Just be sure to raise your concerns on one of their talk pages or the talk page for the article to make sure that everyone remembers. Thanks! Tyler Zoran Talk 21:06, 1 January 2011 (EST)

Not a problem. Would be easier without going through the captcha each time. Martyp 18:28, 3 February 2011 (EST)

Good stuff

My job is more of a speaking position than a writing position, I appreciate your help on the Sarah Palin article. --AlaskanEconomy 21:30, 8 February 2011 (EST)

A pleasure. I live to edit. Martyp 22:03, 8 February 2011 (EST)

Nice

Will you be celebrating Fidel's 100th birthday in 2026? --Jpatt 09:45, 7 March 2011 (EST)

Of course not. He's dead. Martyp 17:27, 7 March 2011 (EST)

Vandalism

thanks for helping me deal with all that vandalism, it looks like someone got into my account and strated messing it all up. Tyler Zoran Talk 16:00, 11 March 2011 (EST)

Helping out

Thanks for adding links to the articles I've been editing. I appreciate the help from someone who is much more wiki-savvy than I! --WillS 23:41, 16 March 2011 (EDT)

The pleasure is mine. Keep up the good work! Martyp 23:41, 16 March 2011 (EDT)

Please check your facts

Please check your facts before making such accusations. I did not create the parody article in question, as is quite clear from the edit history. Indeed, if you will examine said history you will discover that I nominated it for deletion. Nor is there anything factually wrong with any of my edits to the English Language page. Brit1909 20:54, 19 March 2011 (EDT)

See your talk page. Martyp 20:55, 19 March 2011 (EDT)

What are you doing?

Why did you create a page in someone else's userspace? Don't do it again.--IDuan 23:36, 26 March 2011 (EDT)

I just wanted to say "Hi," but the usual talk page is locked. won't happen again. Martyp 12:49, 27 March 2011 (EDT)
