Hello.

Welcome!

Hello, StephenW, and welcome to Conservapedia!

We're glad you are here to edit. We ask that you read our Editor's Guide as soon as you can.

At the right are some useful links for you. You can include these links on your user page by putting "{{Useful links}}" on the page.

Thanks for reading, StephenW!

I assume that you are the same person who left a message on my Wikipedia talk page? (You're not obliged to answer that.) Philip J. Rayment 02:55, 28 December 2007 (EST)

Could I edit at night please? Also to upload images.

Just want the ability to edit at night. Also to upload images. Thanks. StephenW 21:39, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Republican in name only

We got RINO, apparently (even though that article should be where yours is now, I admit that much). No need to reinvent the wheel when you can just build on the things provided by others. :) --JakeC 23:47, 1 January 2008 (EST)

Thanks. I just fixed it. StephenW 00:00, 2 January 2008 (EST)

Your edits are interesting. We need to shut off general editing for a while but will be back up early Wednesday. Hope to see you then!--Aschlafly 00:17, 2 January 2008 (EST)

We prefer to move articles to new names, not copy them to new pages. This keeps the history and associated talk page. Of course, you do need to ask an Administrator to do this. I'm going to swap the names of both. Philip J. Rayment 03:15, 2 January 2008 (EST)

RINO is now the article that StephenW created today, but has now been converted into a redirect to Republican in name only, which is now the former RINO that was created in July. Philip J. Rayment 03:25, 2 January 2008 (EST)

Contest

Stephen - please avoid making immediate changes to the contest layout - bring up you're change on the contest talk page first - and that way we can avoid revert wars by ensuring every change is agreed upon--IDuan 23:41, 6 January 2008 (EST)

You can just revert me if you don't agree. Two points for a redirect is silly. I could win that contest. StephenW 23:44, 6 January 2008 (EST)
The reason that there are two points for a redirect is because you can get two points if you find an article and add a coma to it - which is just as easy as a redirect. However - again, we're trying to AVOID a bunch of reverts - so feel free to bring up your suggestion on the talk page--IDuan 23:47, 6 January 2008 (EST)

Bad American HumoUr

Be careful with the parody entries. You realise the stats are from 1945 I assume? -- Ferret Nice old chat 06:00, 7 January 2008 (EST)

Parody? Funny, but no parody. Date of one of the two references is not hidden anyway. Also, Andy knows about it. StephenW 22:58, 8 January 2008 (EST)

Miscegenation

Sorry - just left a note because I missed the "laws against" here - ignore it (it's in your talk page history). Nice job on that article though, especially with you're most recent edit with wikilinking--IDuan 23:06, 9 January 2008 (EST)

Thanks, and thanks for the correction. StephenW 23:08, 9 January 2008 (EST)

Signature

Stephen - just to make sure - you weren't planning on using this User:StephenW/UTC as your signature were you? Cause if you were - just a reminder: copy that pages code, go to my preferences and next to nickname, check the box for raw signature and paste the code in to the nickname box--IDuan 23:27, 9 January 2008 (EST)

There is a better way. {{subst:template name}} StephenWU·T·C 23:29, 9 January 2008 (EST)
Oh are you substing the page? Ok nm, that's fine - I was worried that you wouldn't subst it (sorry, I'm used to dealing with new users who get excited about signatures) - and obviously if you have your nicknames template everywhere then it's a huge drain on the server.--IDuan 23:30, 9 January 2008 (EST)
It's also a vandalism risk (a vandal changing the signature template and causing who-knows-what to appear wherever your signature appeared), so we don't allow template signatures. But substituting it is okay. Personally, I'd find even that to be unnecessary work, though, and would do it the way Iduan said. Philip J. Rayment 01:51, 10 January 2008 (EST)

This is a test. SW·· 22:06, 21 January 2008 (EST)

Template

Hey I changed the temp around a bit. Most importantly, now you don't need to do {{Essay by|[[User:Iduan|Iduan]]}}, you can just do {{Essay by|Iduan}}.--IDuan 23:42, 22 January 2008 (EST)

Thanks. That is a great idea. However, due to reasons I am unclear on, some authors no longer have accounts. E.g., see Essay:Why Conservapedia Should Stay the Way it Is by Hojimachong, who no longer seems to have an account. Do you think this is okay? SW·· 23:46, 22 January 2008 (EST)
Yes, red links are allowed--IDuan 23:47, 22 January 2008 (EST)
Good, then thanks again for your improvement. SW·· 23:49, 22 January 2008 (EST)

No problem - but two side notes: 1) careful about making templates for the mainspace - I know this one was in the debate space, so it's fine, but just fyi until you get more experience around here you should probably just check to make sure before you do a template in the mainspace - just to avoid any misunderstandings. 2) In order to request a move use {{move}} --IDuan 23:51, 22 January 2008 (EST)

Final Note

Alright Stephen, well I believe that editing will be turned off soon, so I just wanted to quickly say nice job today. I'll see you tomorrow.--IDuan 23:59, 22 January 2008 (EST)

I NEED NIGHT TIME EDIT RIGHTS OR I WILL START MY OWN WIKI. Thanks:) SW·· 00:04, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Good luck with that :) HelpJazz 00:04, 23 January 2008 (EST)
I can't grant rights, rights are given out by bureaucrats based on edits. Feel free to request them, as you have done so on Andy's page, but there's nothing more that you can really do.--IDuan 00:06, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Should I call Andy on the phone again? SW·· 00:08, 23 January 2008 (EST)
I'm not sure how that would help you, look, you're a new user - you don't even have the right to complain about rights yet! lol--IDuan 00:10, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Ah, I have the right to complain. CP has the right to block me though. SW·· 00:12, 23 January 2008 (EST)
You aren't going to be blocked for asking for rights, but I'm not sure what your trying to communicate to me here - I don't have the authority to change user rights, so really there's nothing I can do. Just be patient, and hopefully when you get a little more experience you'll get rights. I mean, I don't have night rights and I've made 3,000 edits (you've made 237) - so yeah, I mean stick it out a bit longer--IDuan 00:14, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Ah, but Andy knows I am a conservative. SW·· 00:16, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Your point being what? Again, I'm not sure what discussion you're having here - it's like you're trying to convince me that you deserve rights - which is pointless as I don't have the rights to change your rights. And I'm pretty sure through my edit history most know I'm conservative too - but just cause your conservative doesn't mean you deserve rights.--IDuan 00:18, 23 January 2008 (EST)

I don't have a point. Just hoping Andy is looking at the edit summaries. SW·· 00:19, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Abortion

Abortion is not always a crime. Please use the talk page before reverting. --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 09:28, 24 January 2008 (EST)

Actually, I did use the edit summary.[1]. You should consider taking your own advice. SW·· 09:36, 24 January 2008 (EST)
Also, do not call it "liberal censorship". I am far from being liberal in this matter. --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 09:38, 24 January 2008 (EST)
I will call it whatever it is, and it is liberal censorship. Do not attempt to censor me by telling me what I can and cannot call things. SW·· 09:41, 24 January 2008 (EST)
