I looked up her book- it looks like an interesting read. I never thought about it from a "we're no longer cavemen" perspective. And cavewomen. Cavepeople? Either way, I think it's better if there's more, uh, physiology in the article than there is Leviticus. Corry 15:06, 8 October 2008 (EDT)

No kidding! Very interesting topic -- kind of a neophyte myself, but sorry articles always give me incentive to look up stuff I wouldn't otherwise look into:). While I found Coutinho's argument interesting, I couldn't quite follow the reasoning -- what is the "purpose" of menstruation in a world of perpetual pregnancy, such that it becomes "obsolete" int he modern world?
