Void means invalid. A void agreement is one for which there is no remedy.

A void can also refer to an empty space with nothing in it, such as existed 'in the beginning' before the creation of the earth.

In JavaScript, "void is an operator that is used to return a null value so the browser will not be able to load a new page." [1]
