Winona Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, best known by her stage name Winona Ryder, is an American actress. She was born on October 29, 1971 in Winona, Michigan. Ryder made her acting debut in the movie Lucas in 1986. She has starred in numerous hit movies, including Beetlejuice (1988), Black Swan, Mermaids, and Edward Scissorhands (1990). She has been nominated for two Academy Awards: a best supporting actress nomination for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993), and a best actress nomination for her portrayal of Jo in Little Women in 1995.[1]

In 2001, she was arrested for shoplifting, and the following year was sentenced to probation and community service. A character she played two years earlier in the film Girl, Interrupted had a line which read "Have you ever stolen something when you have the cash?"
