The Winter Olympics are held mid-winter every four years, in even-numbered years not divisible by four. From February 7 through 23, 2014, the Winter Olympics are being held in Sochi, Russia, beginning February 6. This has caused angst among liberals, beginning as early as July 2013, because Russia has expressly rejected the homosexual agenda, and passed legislation against it. Many other nations successful at the Winter Olympics also reject same-sex marriage, including Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Finland.

Pro-heterosexual Russia won the most gold medals and the most medals overall.

The next Winter Olympics will be held in 2018, in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
