“We Pick Rick!” [EXCELLENT TITLE]
The presidential election of 2012 will certainly be an election to remember. With the republican primaries in full swing there is a tight race between four candidates, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. These candidates all have something good to offer. However, the candidate who will have the best chance in beating President Obama in the 2012 race is Rick Santorum. With his ultra conservative mind set [ONE WORD, NOT TWO: ["MINDSET"], Santorum will be able to be a stark contrast against Obama. Santorum is pro-life, pro-family and pro-America, everything which President Obama is not [SUPERB WRITING!]. Through his willingness to stick to what he believes in, his level[NEED HYPHEN]headed attitude, and his radically [THE WORD CHOICE OF "RADICALLY" DOES NOT HELP YOUR ARGUMENT HERE; PERHAPS "STRONGLY" OR "SOLIDLY" OR "PRINCIPLED"] conservative mind set, Rick Santorum truly is the best candidate for the republican nomination, and even for President of the United States.
“Practice what you preach!” is a very famous saying taking its origin from the Bible. Rick Santorum truly believes in practicing what he preaches. Santorum is a homeschooling dad of seven children. So needless to say, he is pro-life and pro-family. He takes time out of his busy schedule to spend time with his family. He knows that family values are something which are lacking in this country and that the dignity of the human person is being diminished. The Santorums truly believe in the dignity of all human life. They have a daughter named Bella who was born with a rare genetic disorder known as Trisomy 18. The Santorums support Bella and thank God for the gift of her life even though it can sometimes be difficult to take care of her. Rick thanks his family every single time he addresses his supporters and he sends a special shout out to his lovely daughter Bella. Rick Santorum does indeed stick to what he says. This is a trait which America is in desperate need of right now. President Obama told Americans that when he became president, he would decrease the deficit which our country is currently encountering. But what has our President done in the past four years he has been in office, he has tripled the deficit, and it is still rising! America needs a President who sticks to his words and who once in office, does exactly what he said he would do. America does not need another phoney who lies just to get elected into office. [NEED NEW PARAGRAPH] Newt Gingrich would be a bad choice primarily because he has had a sketchy past. With the affairs he had with his ex-wife and the statements he now makes about it, portray how untrustworthy he would be as a president [THIS SENTENCE HAS A GRAMMATICAL PROBLEM]. Mitt Romney would also be a poor choice, due to his proposed healthcare plan for Massachusetts. His plan which he tried to push through as legislation when he was the governor, was exactly the same as Obama care. Romney now claims to be a republican [CAPITALIZE "R" IN "Republican"], but the republican party is trying to repel Obama care. Romney does not seem like a good choice, because he does not stick to his word. Once elected into office, Romney could do anything he wanted to. Thus Rick Santorum truly is the best choice, because he sticks to his words, and he practices what he preaches.
Rick Santorum is a fantastic choice for the presidential nominee, because he is level headed [REPETITIOUS WORD CHOICE] and deals with the problems which are facing our Nation. An example of this can be found in Santorum's ideas for foreign policy. Santorum realizes the crisis which we are in and he knows that if we ignore the Middle East and quickly pull out all of our troops, then there will be chaos and disaster. Ron Paul does not seem to have a very strong foreign policy system. He does not seem to know what is going on in any other part of the world other than the United States. He does not even seem to know about the current war we are in! If he becomes president, then he would blow us off of the face of the earth. Rick Santorum also acknowledges the fact that our Country is presently in a state of financial disaster. Once in office, Newt Gingrich wants to push ahead this great system for social security. While this method of benefits sounds good in theory, our country currently has no money to support it. Gingrich wants to entice people into buying social security by advertising greater benefits. This idea is great, for it would build up the social security business and people would have greater retirement plans. Oh, but wait a minute, did Gingrich forget? [GOOD RHETORICAL STYLE] Our Country is already in a tremendous amount of debt. So obviously this is not going to work. Gingrich needs to get his head out of the clouds and deal with the problem. Santorum believes in cutting spending first, stabilizing the deficit, and then passing out benefits. Our Country cannot think about paying people more money when we are in a tremendous amount of foreign debt. Thus Santorum is the right guy to choose because he is level headed and deals with the problems which are right in front of him.
One of the most important qualities about Santorum is his extremely conservative way of thinking. Santorum believes in the Republican party, he believes in fighting for the morals of the platform of the Republican party. He believes in us. Never has Santorum signed a bill or stood up for anything which is contrary to the moral views of the Republican Party. Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney have done things in their past which contradict the Republican point of view. Ron Paul, being more of a Libertarian then a Republican, has extremely pacifistic ideas regarding our foreign policy. He does not agree with the war we are currently involved in. he also believes in investigation before killing. When Osama bin Laden was assassinated by our military, Paul thought that we should have questioned Osama bin Laden instead of shooting him. By capturing and questioning him, yes our military would have received much information, but if someone who has led an attack on our country and has killed thousands of American citizens, is not hunted down and exterminated, then our country is in danger. Our people are in danger. We are at war, and we need to do whatever it takes to keep the American people safe. Santorum believes in fighting to keep the American people safe. As president, he will do whatever it takes to end our war on terrorism. As we have briefly discussed earlier, Mitt Romney also has a checkered past when it comes to his views on the Republican platform. Romney's most controversial mistake was his healthcare plan with he pushed for the state of Massachusetts. Romney wanted complete government funding of healthcare. He wanted the government to become totally involved in our medical field. In other words, he wanted the government to control our lives. This sounds vaguely familiar. Oh of course, it sounds like Obama care. Now what Republican in their right mind would want Romney as their new president. For the republican party as been fighting to repel Obama care and now they have a candidate who is running for the 2012 election who has created his own, “Obama Care.” Rick Santorum would never do anything which is contrary to what he believes in. His ideas coincide with the ideas of all Republicans for he would stick to his word, and to his ultra conservative ways.
Thus through the above examples, it is self-explanatory who should be the republican nominee [THIS SENTENCE COULD BE STRONGER]. With his conservative views, his willingness to hold fast to what he believes in, and his overall moral ethics, Rick Santorum truly is the best choice for the Republican nominee. Our country needs a president, who once in office will do what he advertised he would do. America needs a president who can stand on his own two feet and make a bold change. Rick Santorum is that candidate, he is that man. The Republican party should pick Rick for their nominee and our country should pick him for president. [GOOD, STRONG CONCLUSION]
