Zulus

The Zulus are an African ethnic group which rose to power in southern Africa in the 1800s. The were lead by a military genius named Shaka. The Zulus were a warrior tribe that imposed strict religious fundamentalism on neighboring peaceful tribes, mostly controlling traditional views of marriage. After Shaka died, his successors could not keep power and were defeated by the British.
