Jack Chick is an American Evangelical Christian cartoonist.

His works are featured in "Chick Tracts," inexpensive comic books designed to be left in public places and to reach out to unsaved souls who might be passing by. A major theme in his tracts are emotionally wrought protrayals of God's perfect love for his children alongside somewhat more violent images, like homosexuals writhing in agony while being burned alive in the streets of Sodom and Gomorrah[1].

Critics have argues that Chick's tracts are heavy-handed, clumsy morality tales whose reliance on stereotypes and faulty logic to make points is not nearly as odious as his flair for the overdramatic, questionable sense of decency, and strange obsession with conspiracy theories[2].

Jews[3], Muslims[4], Roman Catholics[5], Freemasons[6], Jehovah's Witnesses[7], Mormons[8], Buddhists[9], Hindus[10], Wiccans[11], homosexuals[12], scientists[13], Dungeons and Dragons players[14], and Rock n' Roll fans[15] have all spoken out against their portrayals in Chick Tracts. Chick has responded that he does not hate these individuals, but hates the system they belong to that is feverishly working to win millions of souls for Satan[16].
