Andrew Tanenbaum

Andrew Tanenbaum is an American computer scientist, and professor of computer science Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He is known for the creation of MINIX, a precursor to Linux, and for his various texts on computing science, generally regarded as a standard in the field.
