The Battle of Pandosia fought in 331 B.C. was a battle between Alexander of Epirus and the Tarentines against the Lucanians, Bruttians, and Samnites in southern Italy. Alexander of Epirus was killed during that battle. While having little note in history, it is interesting because of the family relationship with another great ruler. Alexander of Epirus was the uncle of Alexander the Great.
