Stephen William "Billy" Bragg (b. December 20, 1957) is a British socialist musician whose career has spanned over three decades. His music deals primarily with liberal political themes and romance. His version of the socialist anthem "The Internationale" contains the significant and prominent line "Freedom is merely privilege extended unless enjoyed by one and all". He also recorded a version of Woody Guthrie's socialist American anthem "This Land is Your Land".
