Chevrolet (also known as "Chevy") is a brand of GM vehicles, most well-known for their Camaro, Impala and Corvette models. Founded in 1910 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant, it started as a separate company and merged with GM in 1917[1]. Chevy's main competitor has always been Ford, but it has usually lagged behind. When Ford introduced the Mustang in 1964, Chevy played catch up and released the Camaro and few years later. The Camaro usually loses to the Mustang on the road and the track. Chevy is part of government owned GM.
