Chip Cravaack (born January 29, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia) is the Republican U.S. Representative-elect from Minnesota's 8th congressional district. A retired United States Naval Reserve captain, he defeated 18-year Democratic incumbent and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chariman Jim Oberstar in the 2010 election.
