Coriolis effect

The way in which the rotation of the earth bends the path of winds, sea currents, and objects that fly through different latitudes.[1] For instance, when you flush a toilet in the Northern Hemisphere, the water goes down in a clockwise direction. But if you flush the same toilet in the Southern Hemisphere, it will go down in a counter-clockwise direction.
