Dartmouth College is a university in Hanover, New Hampshire. It is a member of the Ivy League, the smallest of them in terms of enrollment with an undergraduate community of 4,196. It was founded in 1769. Its current president, Jim Yong Kim, took office in July 2009 and is the first Asian-American to become president of an Ivy League institution[1][2].

Dartmouth College is a full scale university, with medical, engineering, and business schools. It retains the name "College" as an important historical point of pride. It relates to the famous Dartmouth College Case of 1819, in which the State of New Hampshire attempted to take over Dartmouth and make it into a state university (which, for a brief period, they did successfully, Dartmouth University occupied Dartmouth College). The case was argued before the Supreme Court by Daniel Webster, in which he made the famous remark:

"It is, Sir, as I have said, a small college. And yet there are those who love it."
