The Denver Broncos are a National Football League franchise team based in Denver, Colorado, formed in 1960. They are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and play in the AFC West Division. The team had an unsuccessful bid for the Super Bowl several times (1977, 86, 87, and 88) before finally winning the "Big Game" under John Elway, two years in a row in 1997 and 1998, in no small "thanks" to the running game and Terrell Davis.

The teams colors are "predominantly" Orange and Blue.

They have had long running rivalries with the Oakland/La Raiders, the Cleavland Browns, and the KC Chiefs.

As of 2008, the team is currently coached by Mike Shanahan.
