A "Filial Correction" is a letter from the conservative "grassroots" of the Roman Catholic Church that purports to correct heresies or other theological mistakes propagated by the Pope.

On August 11, 2017, a 25-page Filial Correction signed by 40 Catholic devout laypersons and clergy was delivered to Pope Francis. Lacking a response, the supporters of this letter then made it public on September 24, 2017. The number of signatories has since grown to 62, as of September 27, 2017.

The letter is particularly critical of "Modernism", which the letter defines as a denial of the existence of absolute, unchanging truths which should continue to be taught in a traditional way.
