Gary Gygax was one of the co-creators (along with Dave Arneson) of Dungeons and Dragons and is called by some the "father of roleplaying games". He has also written several fantasy and science fiction themed short stories and books. Gary Gygax passed away on March 4th 2008 at his home in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. [1]
