Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is a non-profit organization formed to fight true discrimination as well as what they perceive as homophobia in the US. Their definition of "homophobia" includes people who simply do not agree that marriage should be extended to non-traditional couples.

Their offical "mission statement" is: The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

2008 Elections

GLADD officially opposes voters the right to define marriage in their states, preferring Judges make that decision.
