Georege Sutherland was a politician and jurist from the United States. During his years as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court - he was the leader of the Court's conservative wing - referred to as the "Four Horsemen"; this wing was very successful at striking down the more outrageous elements of Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal.
