The Grand Canyon is a 277 mile long canyon in [[Arizona]] famed for its spectacular views. Young earth creationists claim that it was formed about 4500 years ago by rushing water after the [[great flood]]. Most geologists, who are obviously very deluded and mistaken, believe that the canyon is about 6 million years old, cut slowly by continual erosion from the Colorado River. This has exposed strata dating as far back, at the furthest point, to two billion years.<ref>http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/02/the_bible_vs_sc.html</ref>

The Grand Canyon is a 277 mile-long canyon in Arizona famed for its spectacular views and impressive depth (up to one mile). Its bowl-like shape suggests that it was formed by rushing water during or after the Great Flood. Liberal geologists, however, claim that the Colorado River carved the entire Grand Canyon millions years ago by eroding its rock walls, even though the shape of the walls are mostly vertical (rather than a gradual slope) and the shape of the basin is inconsistent with the path of the river.[3]
