Jacob Rees-Mogg

Jacob Rees-Mogg (born 24 May 1969) is a conservative British politician who sits in the House of Commons. Rees-Mogg is a member of the Conservative Party, but unlike many members of the party, he takes conservative positions comprehensively, including social issues.

Rees-Mog was first elected to the House of Commons in 2010, although he ran twice before.[1] In 2017, Rees-Mogg was chosen to lead the European Research Group, a group of pro-Brexit Tory MPs.[2]

Rees-Mog strongly supports a "hard" Brexit and strongly opposes "remain" advocates and "soft" Brexit advocates.[3][4][5][6][7] He opposes abortion and same-sex "marriage".[8] He supports free speech.[9] Rees-Mogg has been compared to U.S. President Donald Trump.[10]

Despite this, Rees-Mogg has caved to the Left and adopted certain left-wing positions, including criticizing a famous speech made by Enoch Powell criticizing mass migration, despite much of it coming true.[11]
