The jaguar is a carnivorous mammal that is a member of the Felidae family and one of four "big cats" in the Panthera genus. Although the jaguar has a brownish/yellow base fur color which is distinctively marked with rosette markings, it is often mistaken for the leopard, which just has spots on its fur. [1]
