Joe DiMaggio was a baseball player for the New York Yankees from 1936 to 1951. He holds the record for number of consecutive games with a hit (56). He was briefly married to Marilyn Monroe. He is mentioned in the Simon and Garfunkel song Mrs. Robinson.
