Dr. John C. Sanford (1950-) is an Associate Professor of Horticultural Sciences at Cornell University, New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. Sanford is a researcher in the field of plant genetics and he is currently looking at the theoretical limits of mutation and selection. Dr. Sanford is a former atheist turned Young Earth Creationist[1]. He is also the owner of more than 25 patents including the "gene gun".

In 2011, Sanford gave a strong endorsement of Dr. Jonathan Sarfati's book The Greatest Hoax on Earth? which thoroughly refuted evolutionist and atheist Richard Dawkins’ book The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution.

Dr. Sanford wrote:

Any rational debate requires the honest presentation of both sides. But there exists a powerful, self-styled ‘intellectual elite’ which would deny us the right to consider all the evidence. They would have a debate wherein only one side was heard, while the other side was either ignored or grossly misrepresented. It is crucial that all honest truth-seekers who read Dawkins'book The Greatest Show on Earth also read Jonathan Sarfati's book The Greatest Hoax on Earth?.”[2]
