José Salomé Piña (Mexico 1830 - 1909) was a Mexican painter. He was along with Santiago Rebull, Eugenio Landesio and Jose Maria Velasco the main art figures of the xviii Mexican century. Pelegrín Clavé was his master, to whom he succeeded at San Carlos Academy.
Sanson y Dalila and San Carlos Borromeo are his main works. The first one is exhibit at the Museo Nacional de Arte in Mexico City.
Diego Rivera was a pupil of Salomé Piña.
