Lawrence Harvey Ziegler, best known as Larry King (born Brooklyn, New York City, 1933), is an American talk-show host and writer. In his television programs Larry King Live and Larry King Weekend, Larry conducted thousands of interviews with celebrities and world leaders.
Larry King is an atheist.[1][2] Larry King's wife Shawn King (née Shawn Engemann, a.k.a Shawn Southwick) is a Mormon.
King retired from Larry King Live and was replaced by Piers Morgan in Piers Morgan Tonight.
He is also author of several books. He has established the Larry King Cardiac Foundation.

In 2011, The Telegraph in an article entitled On Larry King and an atheist's fear of death reported about the atheist Larry King, "Larry King, the former CNN broadcaster, made the news this morning after saying he wants to be frozen after his death, so that he can be revived when medical technology improves.[4]
