Mistletoe on an apple tree (mistletoe at the bottom of the image)

Mistletoe is a parasitical plant that grows on oak trees. It has green leaves and small, waxy white berries (which are inedible); sprigs of mistletoe are traditionally used as Christmas decorations in many countries. A kiss under the mistletoe is a tradition recognised world-wide.
