The "Old Grey Ones" or Graeae (Greek: Γραῖαι i.e., Graiai) of Greek mythology were the daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, who were born as old women and continued to age thereafter. They were both the sisters, and guardians of the Gorgons. The three sisters, named Enyo (Horror), Deino (Dread) and Pemphredo (Alarm) shared a single eye and tooth between them, but the eye was stolen and later thrown into Lake Triton by Perseus.[1]
