Pat Roberts

Pat Roberts, born April 20, 1936 (age 82), is a Republican Senator from Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1958 with a degree in Journalism, and pursued careers in both the military and in journalism before beginning his political career in 1967 by working on the staff of then-Kansas governor Frank Carlson. He served eight terms in the House of Representatives before being elected to the Senate in 1996. He was the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee until the Democratic Party took over the Senate following the 2006 elections.
