Paul Keating

Paul Keating (1944 - ) was Austalian Prime Minister from 1991 to 1996, as leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). He took office when he beat incumbent Prime Minister Bob Hawke in an ALP leadership ballot, and left office when the Liberal / National coalition won the 1996 federal election under John Howard. Paul Keating is the subject of a comdey musical, [[Keating!] which is popular in Austria.
