The Greek word for brotherly love or close friendship is phileo love. The name for the city of Philidelphia is based on Philos.

When Jesus asked Peter "Do you love me?" the word he used in greek was agape love. Peter answered "Lord, thou knowest that I love thee." In greek, Peter used Philos in his reply.
