Revision as of 23:09, 5 November 2012

The Question evolution! campaign by Creation Ministries International is a worldwide campaign which poses 15 questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer.[1] The 15 questions posed to evolutionists can be found HERE

The Question evolution! campaign, launched by the biblical creation organization Creation Ministries International, is a worldwide "grass-roots movement to challenge the anti-Christian dogma of evolution".[2] The focus of the Question evolution! campaign is on 15 questions that evolutionists cannot adequately answer.[3] The 15 Questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer can be found HERE.

The campaign is being primarily conducted in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa.[4] In May of 2011, Creation Ministries International and the Traditional Values Coalition decided to jointly initiate a Question evolution! campaign which encourages students and others to "question the evolutionary pseudoscience peddled to them", to wear anti-evolution clothing and to pass out Question evolution! tracts within their schools and community. The Traditional Values Coalition is a church lobbying organization that lobbies for over 43,000 American churches. The campaign features tracts, t-shirts, badges, mugs, etc. and students are being encouraged to participate in the campaign.[5]

Project 200+

Project 200+ is project of a Question evolution! campaign group. The project was launched on November 4, 2012.[6] The project seeks to form a worldwide coalition of over 200 creationist/Christian organizations.

According to the Question Campaign Campaign group:

More specifically, Project 200+'s goal is to create the world's fastest growing and most powerful coalition of Christian creationist organizations. Organizations which are very effective and efficient at speeding up the growth of biblical creation belief in the world and the decline of Darwinism. And make no mistake, biblical creation belief is exploding in the world and even growing fast in places like secular France. See: Creationism is growing fast![7]

The 15 questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer

Dr. Carl Wieland is the Managing Director of Creation Ministries International

The 15 questions of the Question evolution! campaign, summarized, are (the full version of the 15 questions can be found HERE):

  1. How did life originate? How did life with hundreds of proteins originate just by chemistry without intelligent design?
  2. How did the DNA code originate? The code is a sophisticated language system with letters and words where the meaning of the words is unrelated to the chemical properties of the letters—just as the information on this page is not a product of the chemical properties of the ink (or pixels on a screen). What other coding system has existed without intelligent design?
  3. How could such errors (mutations) create 3 billion letters of DNA information to change a microbe into a microbiologist? How can scrambling existing DNA information create a new biochemical pathway or nano-machines?
  4. Why is natural selection taught as ‘evolution’ as if it explains the origin of the diversity of life?
  5. How did new biochemical pathways, which involve multiple enzymes working together in sequence, originate?
  6. Living things look like they were designed, so how do evolutionists know that they were not designed? Why should science be restricted to naturalistic causes rather than logical causes?
  7. How did multi-cellular life originate?
  8. How did sex originate?
  9. Why are the (expected) countless millions of transitional fossils missing?
  10. How do ‘living fossils’ remain unchanged over supposed hundreds of millions of years?
  11. How did blind chemistry create mind/intelligence, meaning, altruism and morality?
  12. Why is evolutionary ‘just-so’ story-telling tolerated?
  13. Where are the scientific breakthroughs due to evolution? Why do schools and universities teach evolution so dogmatically, stealing time from experimental biology that so benefits humankind?
  14. Why is evolution, a theory about history, taught as if it is the same as this operational science?
  15. Why is a fundamentally religious idea, a dogmatic belief system that fails to explain the evidence, taught in science classes? If “you can’t teach religion in science classes”, why is evolution taught?

The Question evolution! campaign tract with the expanded questions includes short arguments and/or quotes in support of biblical creation, plus offers links to articles on CMI's website which provide supporting evidence.[8]

Dr. Duane Gish - biologist and leader in biblical creation movement: “As one who has debated over 300 evolutionists, I am delighted to see this Question Evolution campaign under way. The 15 Questions for Evolutionists brochure hits all the major questions on origins that evolutionists have no satisfactory answers for. The questions should be propagated widely. I commend the campaign.”

Dr. John Sanford, Cornell University professor and inventor of the gene gun: “I enthusiastically endorse the campaign to encourage all thinking people to question evolution. The era must come to an end where all things with the single exception of evolution are subject to critical examination. How sad that so much evidence has been suppressed, such that most people who consider themselves to be ‘well informed’ have in fact only heard one side of the question. Indoctrination, intimidation, censorship—this is not how science is supposed to operate. Let us return to the true spirit of science, which is critical thinking, dialog and open inquiry.”

Ian Juby - Canadian creationist leader: “The Question Evolution! Campaign is an innovative, grassroots anti-evolution campaign which I believe will have a lasting and far reaching impact. The campaign is worldwide in scope and I hope to see it serve as a uniting force within the biblical creation community. I heartily recommend getting involved in this grassroots anti-evolution movement.”

Internet atheists Thunderf00t and Matt Dillahunty inability to answer the 15 questions

On October 1, 2011, the popular video creator Shockofgod created a video mentioning the inability of YouTube atheists Thunderf00t and Matt Dillahunty to answer Creation Ministries International's list of 15 Questions for evolutionists which are the focus of the Question evolution! campaign. VIDEO Previously, Shockofgod challenge Thuderf00t to answer the 15 questions.

Reddit atheists inability to answer the 15 questions for evolutionists

In March of 2012, YouTube Christian Shockofgod invited Reddit atheists to answer the 15 questions for evolutionists and Reddit atheists were unable to satisfactorily answer the 15 questions and a live audio recording of their attempts was made:

Atheism, evolution and the Question evolution! campaign

The Question evolution! campaign blog posted an essay entitled Cutting off the air supply of atheism which indicated the best way to combat atheism is through preventive medicine and "The grassroots Question evolution! campaign can reach countless young people before evolutionists indoctrinate them in high school and college." (see: Cutting off the air supply of atheism ).[9]

Currently, global atheism is in decline in terms of its number of adherents and the rate of decline is expected to accelerate.[10] The Question evolution! campaign blog indicated that the Question evolution! campaign could further accelerate the decline of decline of atheism in the world plus accelerate conservative Christian influence in the United States which is increasing due to the higher birth rates of Christian/religious conservatives relative to their atheist/liberal Christianity counterparts.[11] Please see the article: Why are 2012 and 2020 key years for Christian creationists and pro-lifers?

Enthusiastic responses to the Question evolution! campaign

Below are some enthusiastic responses to the Question evolution! campaign:

Michael B., United States, 8 October 2011: This is a grand movement and I’m glad it has begun. Our youth are indoctrinated very early to believe every word spoken about evolution without questioning...

Hats off to TVC and God bless you in this campaign.[12]

Richard N., United States, 23 October 2011 Love the questions — game changers [13]

Paul M., United States, 12 July 2011: You guys are great!!! What a wonderful idea. Keep up the good work![14]

Terry F., Australia, 15 August 2011: Congratulations to CMI for promoting such an excellent initiative. All Christians should get involved in some way as the reliability of Genesis is foundational to our common faith.[15]

Christopher W., United States, 6 September 2011: "Having read over the questions and their subtitles, I have to say that this entire campaign is a big step up from prior ones in its goals and executions. You chose very good questions to ask, and many of them don’t have definite explanations yet.

In my view, asking questions is almost always a good thing, universally, and I think that by asking the questions you have, that it will spur more people to gain an interest in interesting scientific topics. I mean, when I saw the question on sexual reproduction, I immediately began reading up on the topic. It’s interesting what some of the current hypothesis are, but unfortunate that the issue cannot be tested definitively. Even if the evolution of a sexually reproducing eukaryote occurred in a laboratory, there is no guarantee that method of natural selection for sexual reproduction is the method that occurred in the past, all it would prove is that the concept is possible..."[16]

Picture featured in an internet posting entitled The Question evolution! campaign axman cometh[17]

A October 19, 2011 internet posting entitled The Question evolution! campaign axman cometh reported:

We have some great news to report! A person who loves the Question evolution! campaign has made the commitment to intensely promote the campaign. Hundreds of hours are going to be added to promote the campaign in the short term. He is going to relentlessly swing his Question evolution! axe at the rotten tree of evolutionism and nothing is going to distract him.

We already know that the evolutionists are impotent against the 15 questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer so the widespread distribution of these questions is going to be very demoralizing to evolution supporters. Questioning, critical reasoning and open inquiry are toxic to evolutionary belief so we are very much looking forward to the widespread dissemination of the Question evolution! campaign."[18]

Enthusiastic student responses

There has been enthusiastic student response to the Question evolution! campaign as can be seen HERE.

Since the 1960s particularly, evolutionary pseudoscience has been force fed public students which many students resent.

The Question evolution campaign has received some enthusiastic student response.

Below are two students comments in the popular Christian YouTube channel Shockofgod about the 15 Questions that evolutionists cannot satisfactorily answer:

Amanda2324 writes at YouTube: "LOVE THESE QUESTIONS!!! Like I'm in Physical Geography and Logic & Critical Thinking classes, and the teachers always mention something that either directly or indirectly refers to evolution. I may bring a copy of these with me to my classes from now on..."[1]

MrCody writes at YouTube: "I wished you told me this back in February when i was being taught about evolution. I wished i could have asked my teacher all those just to make her feel stupid."[2]

2 million Question evolution! tracts

The popular YouTube video producer Shockofgod is an ex-atheist and his channel features many anti-atheism videos. His YouTube videos have cumulatively received millions of views since his YouTube channel's inception.

On September 18, 2011 Shockofgod released a video entitled Evolutionists stumped confused & dumbfounded by 15 questions. [19] In that video, Shockofgod indicated he is going to move forward again and again with the Question evolution! campaign until 1,000,000 Question Evolution! tracts are in people's hands and then continue to move forward until 2,000,000 tracts are in people's hands.[20]

Question evolution! campaign supporter blog

In November of 2011, a group of Question evolution! campaign supporters began a Question evolution! campaign blog.

In December of 2011, a group of Question evolution campaign supporters began a Question evolution! campaign blog. Among the blog writers and upcoming blog writers are: a college professor who took coursework at University of Notre Dame in their History and Philosophy of Science department, a biology student, a Stanford University graduate and a Christian apologist.[21] In addition, the blog wants to develop into an international network of blogs plus blogs that fill various niches (countries, students, teachers, scientists, etc.).[22] The blog is found at: Questionevolution blog.

On August 31, 2011 a Question evolution campaign posted:

The Texas Question evolution! campaign group has decided that want to develop some tools which will allow independent Question Evolution! groups to grow quickly plus multiply the formation of new groups. We believe such tools will create an army of proliferating Question evolution groups across the United States and across the world.

Publishers Weekly did a review of the classic book The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations.

Here is an excerpt of Publishers Weekly review:

Apache Indian tribes "are made up of many smaller units capable of operating, growing and multiplying independently of each other, making it very difficult for a rival force to control or defeat them."[24]

The Texas Question evolution! campaign team has posted a series of blog posts on free tools plus other tools to help you spread the Question evolution! campaign You needn't use all the tools, just grab one of the tools and start hammering away at evolutionism.[25]

Wide coverage planned relating to Christian web properties

On July 9, 2011, Question evolution! campaign supporters declared: ""We have decided to pull out all the stops to advance the Question evolution! campaign. Besides continuing to contact churches in the key biology textbook state of Texas; by the end of September 2011, the major Christian websites, blogs and YouTube channels will be contacted."[26]

Christian apologists and apologetic organizations supporting the question evolution campaign

Related anti-evolution efforts at the time of the Question evolution! campaign

In 2011 the results of a study were published indicating that most United States high school biology teachers are reluctant to endorse the theory of evolution in class. [27] At the time of the question evolution campaign, other creationists plus intelligent design proponents were engaged in legislative actions encouraging students to examine the evolutionary paradigm in a critical way. In 2011, eight anti-evolution bills were introduced into United States state legislatures encouraging students to employ critical thinking skills when examining the evolutionary paradigm. In 2009, there were seven states which required critical analysis skills to be employed when examining evolutionary material within schools.[28]
