Richard Mourdock is the pro-life, conservative Treasurer of the State of Indiana who is challenging the entrenched liberal Republican Richard Lugar in the primary for U.S. Senate in 2012.

Mourdock is a movement conservative, in sharp contrast to the RINO Lugar. A highly reliable, independent poll showed the incumbent Lugar trailing the conservative challenger Mourdock by a landslide of 10 points.[1]

On April 27, 2012, Mourdock received the endorsement of Sarah Palin. Previously Mourdock had received the endorsement of many other leading conservatives, including Mark Levin, Steve Forbes and Herman Cain.
