The Romanov czars were the tsars who ruled Russia from the accession of Michael Romanov in 1613 until the abdication of Nicholas II after the February Revolution of 1917.

Under Romanov rule, serfdom was both introduced into Russia (under Peter I) and abolished (under Alexander II).
