Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher (b. December 3, 1973) commonly referred to as "Joe The Plumber", is the GOP candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Ohio's 9th congressional district. Joe defeated challenger Steven Kraus and is running against Democrat Marcy Kaptur, who defeated Dennis Kucinich, in the newly redrawn district that leans Democrat.

2008 Presidential Elections

Wurzelbacher became a celebrity of the moment when 2008 presidential candidate Barack Obama was campaigning in Ohio, he spoke with Joe while news cameras were rolling. Joe publicly countered Obama's plan for redistributing wealth, explaining that it sounds just like socialism. The Lamestream media went into full damage control mode, in protection of Obama.

Joe would join John McCain's doomed campaign, giving support to the McCain/Palin ticket. Afterwards, Joe said he was disgusted with the whole McCain camp.

Wurzelbacher has kept a high profile regularly writing political columns at major Conservative media properties. As his nickname implies, he is a plumber by trade.
