Stegosaurus (Greek: στέγος stegos, and σαῦρος sauros; "roof lizard") was a genus of dinosaurs characterized by large, flat bony plates along its back. Stegosaurus had the smallest brain size of any dinosaur, measuring no larger than a walnut.
