- Thomas Monaghan - founder of Domino's Pizza[Citation Needed]
- Michael Reagan - adoptive son of President Ronald Reagan[Citation Needed]
- These are widely known and undisputed examples. Michael Reagan, for example, even entitled his book "Twice Adopted" (once by Ronald Reagan, and second by Christ).
