This page, and many other country pages on Conservapedia, seems to have been largely copied wholesale from the US Department of State website (here) and has only tiny snippets of the original Conservapedia article. The article is now somewhat out of date, so my question is: should this page (and the others that are out of date) be re-copied from the DoS website or should Conservapedia editors be updating the pages themselves?

Is it even right that the concise versions of these pages have been replaced by the DoS text, when we could simply put a link at the bottom of the page saying something like, "For further information, please see here."? Davidklein 07:05, 29 December 2008 (EST)

First, in answer to your original question, the answer is yes where convenient. Conservapedia editors can and should make updates to these articles as necessary. Second, the link at the bottom is to identify the source of the public domain text used for the articles, and these tags should stay; they can be removed only if the text is completely original.
