Even though it has been widely used in an attempt to discredit Cheney, the fact that his daughter is living a homosexual lifestyle remains just that, a fact. To the effect that this personal matter likely affects Cheney's ideas about "gay marriage" is both public knowledge and instructive to who he is politically. I think in the interest of avoiding the pitfalls of wiki, one of which is leaving out facts which aren't convienent to the liberal mindset, we should strive to be inclusive with the truth.

The cite for Cheney's education (#1 I think) is linked incorrectly...should be http://www.whitehouse.gov/vicepresident/.  A sysop should fix this as the page is locked. [[User:Murray|Murray]] 13:24, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

Spelling

There are several spelling errors on the page. Several links direct to the wrong article. Can this be fixed before he leaves office? -_- Crackertalk 01:03, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

Can't we use his REAL first name, to avoid obscenity? --Ballon 21:07, 11 March 2007 (EDT)

If you mean the article name: I think it goes by what he's best known as, just like Bill Clinton is not at William Jefferson Clinton (it had been moved there briefly, but then got moved back). --Sid 3050 21:16, 11 March 2007 (EDT)
Are you serious? His first name is obscene? Get real.McTavidge 23:16, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Whenever this article gets unprotected, it should be put under Category:Vice Presidents of the United States. --Interiot 21:25, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

And what's the deal with the protection? That's lame -- are the party leaders to remain untouched by the editing of the masses? Surely they can take it. McTavidge 23:47, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

And speaking of the article, someone just edited and left it a mess -- look at the fifth section, unhelpfully entitled "S:" (after bouncing back and forth between "Accidents:" and "S:" a couple of times. McTavidge 00:04, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Daughters

Cut from article:

Mary is a controversial figure, as she is a lesbian, who has a daughter with her same-sex partner. This is direct contrast with the views of a large number of the Bush Administration's supporters, who are opposed to homosexuality on religious and moral grounds. Mr. Cheney believes same-sex marriage and other laws relating to homosexuality should be decided at State Level. [1]

Is she controversial? Or do Cheney opponents want to use her as a pawn in a political battle?

Are we judged by what our children or other relatives are (or do)? --Ed Poor 16:37, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

He's a republican vice-president. His party is against gay marriage, deleting this reference eliminates depth of the man. (He, personally, doesn't care one way or the other on gay marriage, IIRC.) BTW, I don't think anybody used Mary although they may have sought to try but I think she put a stop to any sorts of moves years ago. Rob PommerTALK 16:47, 29 March 2007 (EDT)
