I couldn't think of anywhere else to put this, so I put it here!

On the main page it says: "Ireland stuns globalists by rejecting the EU by a wide margin, 53.4-46.6%.[6]". This is true, except they didn't reject the EU (Ireland is already in the EU), but they rejected ratification of a Treaty to reform it (the Treaty of Lisbon).

I consider saying that is more appropriate to the sentence, as it makes clear that the Irish rejected a form of globalisation (i.e. greater EU integration). I hope that the sentence can be changed. Europeanunion 11:55, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

It sounds like you have a valid point, but the people who work on the Main Page won't see your concern here. You'll need to put it on the Talk Page of the Main Page article. Learn together 12:55, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
