Had Gadya

Throughout this article Had Gadya should be spelled Chad Gadya. The first letter Chet is pronounced with the guttural flem, which is usually represented with a CH.

Well, it's dificult to say. "ch" to Americans may mean the pronunciation of ch as in cheder cheese. The sound representation we want is for the Hebrew, light aspirated gutteral that in Semitic llnguistics is represented by an "H" with a dot under it - which I could not type in. It is the dot whioh distinguishes this letter from the English non gutteral H sound. I would not put my foot down in certainty of what is best either wayBert Schlossberg 02:46, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
